When it comes to the design aspect of iPhone 11 series, Apple has not deviated too far from the design they formulated for iPhone XS and XR. This means that in terms of body size, iPhone 11 occupies the intermediate position among the series. Both the 11 models have the same notched display, all glass back and a new square camera design. In comparison, iPhone 11 is larger than iPhone 11 Pro with thicker bezels, aluminum sides and dreamy colors. 11 Pro on the other hand has stainless steel sides with a matte finish at the back which makes it look more sophisticated and appealing. The not so good aspect about both these models would be the slipperiness of these phones which might be due to the new glass back or the camera bump.

Design:

Display is the one defining factor that differentiates these models and makes the Pro model more expensive than iPhone 11. Both these models are super bright and can prove to be very functional when taken out in the daylight. Although when compared, iPhone 11 has a bigger display but its quality is lower than 11 Pro. This is due to the fact that iPhone 11 uses LCD tech while iPhone 11 Pro uses superior OLED tech. Owing to this OLED technology, 11 Pro shows deeper blacks and more brilliant colors which makes your experience fulfilling. Also with the removal of 3D touch, both models are now equipped with True Tone and Haptic touch, which was introduced by Apple last year.

Cameras:

Since its first phone, Apple has held the title of best mobile camera and exemplified its preference over Android. This has remained consistent even with the latest generation of iPhones which have stood out in the market due to their camera which supports Night Mode to improve low-light images, Auto Adjustments, optical image stabilization, digital zoom up to 5x, 2x optical zoom out and Smart HDR. When compared with respect to cameras, iPhone 11 comes equipped with two lenses while 11 Pro supports a new triple camera array with the third lens being a 12 MP Telephoto lens that helps to zoom in on pictures without distorting their quality. In the whole iPhone 11 series, we can use Apple’s “slofies” which are slow-motion video selfies and also access all six Portrait Lighting effects.

Performance:

In terms of performance, Apple has always remained a step ahead of its competitors and with the new A13 Bionic chip, it has unlocked a whole new level. Apple says that the new chipset has the fastest CPU and GPU ever to be seen in a smartphone. This chip has also proven to be very energy efficient, saving 40% power just for A13’s GPU. Plus, with the introduction of iOS 13, many agile and effective features have been launched such as intelligent mini-notifications, upgraded Face ID, swipe typing, new Memoji stickers and control of Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth options from Control Center. When it comes to differences, iPhone 11 and 11 Pro’s performance have no dissimilarities but Apple has told to expect a 20% better performance through 11 Pro’s A13 chipset.

Battery Life:

Battery life has always been an issue with Apple’s previous phones that needed attention and improvement. With the new A13 Bionic chip, iPhone 11 series have a considerably improved battery life with a 3,110 mAh battery which is higher capacity than the older versions. It can last up to 17 hours during video playback, up to 10 hours for streaming video playback and up to 65 hours of audio playback. Notably, iPhone 11 is fast charging capable with a 5W power adaptor and a standard USB-A to Lightning cable while iPhone 11 Pro comes with an 18 W USB-C power adapter and USB-C to Lightning cable.
Other features that both these models include are spatial audio for an immersive experience, Dolby Atmos, Wireless charging, Faster Wi-Fi, Gigabit-Class LTE, Audio sharing through AirPods and Dual Sim with eSIM.

Our Verdict:

After comparing iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, it is apparent that while iPhone 11 has all the necessary charms, it still cannot beat iPhone 11 Pro with its attractive and strong LCD display, great battery life and more storage space. If you are not low on money and looking for a phone that provides value for its cost, you should definitely opt for iPhone 11 Pro.
What do you think, should be the new features that need to be introduced in the next iPhone series and what improvements are needed to be made in the existing ones?
